The best platforms for building your Yoga Website:

The 3 most popular website platforms to build your yoga website are Wix, WordPress, and Squarespace. All three offer free website templates to get started with your yoga website design process.

WordPress Yoga Websites

WordPress is a little more complicated to set up, but if you’re a great website developer or have some programming skills yourself it’s worth the effort. WordPress has the most customizability and offers the most advanced features

I recommend using DIVI. It’s a lightweight drag and drop builder that makes creating a WordPress website just as easy as Wix or Squarespace.

Pros: Best for SEO, great for scalability as your business grows. Has a huge library of free plugins for all of your business needs. Customizable in every way. No limitations.

Cons: Harder to get started if you’re not familiar with WordPress or have never built a website.

Wix Yoga Websites

You can customize their pre-built website templates by adding photos and text to make them fit perfectly as a clean layout for what you’re trying to communicate through your practice or business.

Pros: Wix is good because it is easy to start your website with its templates. You can also customize the pre-made design by adding text and images to make them more personal for you.

Cons: It’s a little harder to do advanced SEO here, it doesn’t have as many free plugins as WordPress does, there are some limitations on the things you can do with your website. You’re also limited to pre-designed templates, can’t use your own domain name unless you upgrade to their paid service.

Squarespace Yoga Websites

With Squarespace, website templates are pre-built with a drag & drop editor that lets you customize your yoga website design without any coding knowledge required. This is an ideal option if you don’t want to learn how to code or hire someone else to do it for you.

Pros: Squarespace can be incredibly easy for beginners and is completely customizable with its pre-built templates.

Cons: Squarespace lacks customization and SEO enhancements. While it’s decently optimized out of the box you’re limited to what you can do with SEO later on and may find yourself wanting to change your CMS later once you grow your business.

How Much Does A Yoga Website Cost?

If you want to build your own site, the only thing you’ll pay for is hosting, domain, and your theme. This applies to WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace. The difference between Wix and Squarespace is that you’ll get the option of buying those when you signup for your account.

Whereas with WordPress I recommend using Namecheap to get the best deal on your domain. And Siteground hosting because it’s the best I’ve used for WordPress and they’ll make sure your website is fast and reliable.

Rough estimates for cost per year.

Hosting = $60/year

Domain = $10/year

Theme = $90/year or $200 forever

That makes your website only $160/year. Or $270 + $70/year

If you decide to hire a professional it can cost anywhere between $500 – $10,000. This all depends on what you decide you need for your website, how much custom content is included, is there automation involved, will you accept payments, and many more factors.
